Rachel is the recipient of the 2026-2027 Margaret W. Martin Award with Babes with Blades Theater Co. She will be developing a brand new stage piece with the company under commission.
RECENT:
Rachel took on the villainous role of Antonio in Vanguard Theater's production of The Tempest this summer. More information available here.

Rachel recently wrapped as Wilma on the upcoming horror film, Then Came a Rainbow, alongside Robert Allen Mukes, Felissa Rose, and Samara Lee coming in 2026. WATCH THE TRAILER HERE.
Rachel's short play, "Moses Never Had to Make a Brisket," played in the UK through June 14th with Joyfully Jewish.
ABOUT ME!
Rachel Leighson is a performer and writer hailing from Los Angeles, CA. She literally fell into performing at the age of seven when she nearly spun off stage during the tornado dance in The Wizard of Oz and never looked back.
She has performed all over the United States (38 states and counting!) and in NYC at Carnegie Hall, Playwrights Horizons, St. Luke's Theatre, and The Actor's Temple Theatre. Her acting and writing passions center around moralistically grey women and finding the nuanced perspective in a piece or character. She believes theatre gives people a safe opportunity to explore uncomfortable truths and grow. More than anything, she hopes to find humor in horror and lessons in frivolity. Perhaps one day, those things will create true magic in this world.
